Ready to see the 6 wedding lighting trends that we’re seeing right now? Let’s get to it.

#1
Gold, Gold and More Gold

Gold and metallics are making their comeback across wedding Pinterest boards from centerpieces, place-settings, and now lighting. We are loving the look of gold chandeliers against the white ceiling of a tented event. It’s the perfect way to bring a little life and glam, and set the mood for the event.

With the increase in interest in gold lighting requests, we’ve added several gold chandelier collections to our PHOS family - the Amelia collection, Ada collection and Caroline collection are some of the top favorites lately.

#2
Twinkle Light Curtains

While there are many names for this lighting (string lights, twinkle lights, curtain string lights, canopy lights, etc), their ability to transform any space, both indoor and outdoor, into an enchanted scene is the same.

Create an illusion of a starry night sky either indoors or outdoors with a twinkle light curtain canopy. This canopy can be used as an entrance to a ceremony or reception, or an otherworldly atmosphere for an intimate dinner party.

Create a statement wall behind the ceremony or head table with a curtain of twinkle lights. Have a venue with tall ceilings? A glittering waterfall of twinkle lights cascading down from the ceiling will enhance the look of the space, while creating the illusion of a more intimate space.

The possibilities with twinkle light curtains are endless, but one thing we know for sure, using twinkle lights in your wedding or event is one way to ensure your event truly sparkles.

#3
Fairy Lights

It’s no surprise to us that with the increase in hanging floral installations across Pinterest boards, a desire to add some twinkle magic to those installations is called upon. That’s where fairy lights really shine. Interspersed throughout hanging installations, or simply hung on their own, fairy lights have a way of bringing just the right amount of sparkle to make you feel like you are dancing under the stars.

#4
Fringe, Chandelier, & Specialty Bulb Combo

The combination of fringe, crystal chandeliers, and crystal specialty bulbs serves up some serious drama that also helps buffer the soaring ceilings of some venues. It’s a combination that really packs a punch and sets the stage for an unforgettable night.

We’ve been seeing clients keeping things linear to create one large installation, as well as some mixing it up a bit and utilizing our round hoop hanging structures for the fringe and interspersing the installations throughout their space. No matter what approach you take, one thing is for certain, and that is this combo will amplify the magic of your day.

#5
Crystal Pendants

If you’re looking for magical, movie-worthy vibes for your big event, look no further then crystal pendants. Using a variety of sizes and shapes, pendant lighting brings all sorts of dreamy to events.

Create a head table of your dreams with clusters of pendants. Or allow the crystal pendants to shine on their own throughout the space. Our Celeste Collection is one that we see being a favorite for a long time to come.

#6
Disco Balls

Photography: The Brothers Martens, Planner: Collected & Co, Floral: Kindred Blooms

It’s true! Disco balls are back on the scene! With their playful edge and ability to shine and sparkle even in the daytime, disco balls are being used in a variety of creative ways.

Use them in a collection with crystal chandeliers to bring a bit of spice to a classic look. Or create a focal wall with a variety of disco balls hung from varying heights. Create a statement tablescape with disco balls sprinkled throughout. Take your pick and let the fun emerge.

Nothing adds drama, sets the mood and tone to a wedding quite like professional lighting. So as you begin wedding planning, don’t overlook the importance of the right lighting for both your wedding ceremony and reception.
