With over 25 years in the wedding and event industry, Adam Welz brings a rare combination of creativity, experience, and vision to every celebration. His journey began as a DJ, performing at weddings almost every weekend — a front-row seat to the power of atmosphere and emotion. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for storytelling through event design.
From video production to wedding publishing, Adam has always gravitated toward the moments that matter most. His path ultimately led to lighting and decor — an area where he saw endless potential to transform spaces and create unforgettable experiences. That vision gave rise to Phos, a company built on artistry, precision, and personalization.
Adam believes that lighting isn't just functional — it's a creative force. Under his direction, Phos has earned a reputation for designing one-of-a-kind atmospheres that reflect each client’s unique vision. We went with a 6ft round hanging installation with Edison light bulbs for our ceremony in the round, amber up-lighting on the walls, and cafe lights. On the day of the wedding, all the lights were already set up and the space looked BEAUTIFUL. Having professional lighting really brightened up the space and made it so romantic, especially during a dark MN winter wedding!
