The Role

We are hiring an Event Lighting Technician to support event installations, warehouse operations, and client experience.

This position may begin as part-time event-based work, with opportunity to grow into a lead or full-time operations role based on experience, performance, and fit.

What You’ll Do

Event Installation

  • Load and prepare lighting equipment in our warehouse

  • Drive company vehicles to event venues

  • Install chandeliers, string lighting, and custom lighting elements

  • Assemble and safely hang aluminum structures

  • Work on ladders (6–20 ft) and lifts (25+ ft)

  • Troubleshoot basic lighting and power connections

  • Communicate professionally with clients, planners, and venues

  • Ensure client satisfaction before leaving site

Warehouse & Operations

  • Clean, repair, and quality-check inventory

  • Organize and track lighting and décor equipment

  • Support inventory management systems

  • Maintain safety standards at all times

Leadership Growth (Based on Experience)

For experienced candidates, this role may include:

  • Leading on-site event crews

  • Coordinating logistics with planners and venues

  • Managing equipment prep and quality control

  • Supporting warehouse process improvements

  • Representing PHOS at industry events as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures

  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders and lifts)

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds

  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record

  • Availability for weekdays, weekends, and evenings (event-based schedule)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Professional communication and accountability

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  • Event production, AV, staging, weddings, or tent work

  • Familiarity with rigging hardware and safe hanging practices

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting

  • Experience mounting to wood, steel, brick, or drywall surfaces

Employment Structure & Compensation

We offer flexible structure based on experience and role alignment.

Part-Time Event Track

  • $25–$35/hour based on experience

  • Minimum 4-hour pay per shift

  • Flexible event-based scheduling

  • W2 employee

Full-Time Leadership Track (Based on Experience)

  • $45,000–$55,000 annually

  • Health insurance
